Morocco Stuns Portugal 1-0 in World Cup Quarterfinal Upset

The Portugal coach, beaten 1-0 by Morocco in the World Cup quarter-finals, analyzed the match, saying that the Moroccan team is a very good team, difficult to play against.
In the post-match press conference, the Portuguese coach returned to the disappointment of his team, which had a lot of difficulty in the match against the Atlas Lions. "We didn’t have any luck. We tried, but it wouldn’t go in. We tried everything, but in vain. During the time-out, we had a few actions, but nervousness took over. The players wanted to go forward too much," he said.
Regarding the opponent, Santos stated that Portugal faced "a very good Moroccan team". "They were very tough. They pressed us. The least we can say is that they did their job. We tried to impose our rhythm on them, but we didn’t succeed properly [...] as for the refereeing, there’s nothing to say, I find it was correct," he admitted.
"We are sad, and sorry for our supporters because we are eliminated. I will discuss with the Federation President when I return to the country, regarding my future and my contract," he concluded.
