Morocco’s Stranded Citizens Face High Costs for Repatriation Flights

Moroccans stranded abroad will have to face huge expenses for their return to the country. The special repatriation flights programmed by the Moroccan authorities will bleed their wallets.
These flights will be operated from July 15, 2020. It will not be an easy return for the Moroccans stranded abroad since last March. Each of them must take a PCR test no later than 48 hours, a serological test, and pay a return ticket of 917 euros by plane from Barcelona to Tangier. The prices of tickets for boats from Sète or Genoa to Nador or Tangier range from 8,000 DH (734 euros) to 9,500 DH (872 euros) per person, according to Al Jalia24. Not to mention the costs of the tests which exceed 1,500 DH (137 euros).
The question remains whether these Moroccans stranded abroad will have the means to make these expenses.
