Morocco: The State is tracking down fraudsters

The Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, warned fraudsters of the Unified Social Register who provide false data to the competent services in order to benefit from the direct aid of 500 dirhams.
During the presentation of the sectoral budget of his department before the Interior, Territorial Authorities, Housing, Urban Policy and Administrative Affairs Committee of Parliament, Abdelouafi Laftit stated that "some individuals claim not to have a gas cylinder and not to have electricity, while they are installed in the cities. Others communicate their data through their mobile phone but claim not to have a phone," reports the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
The Minister of the Interior added that "nearly eleven million people registered in Ramed have switched to the CNSS and AMO Tadamon. But after evaluation and processing of the file data, Ramedists who did not meet the conditions were transferred to the normal Compulsory Health Insurance scheme." Deputies also questioned the minister about uncollected taxes by local authorities due to the lack of staff and logistics, as well as the fate of agreements signed between certain ministries and local authorities and the issue of judgments rendered against municipalities.
