Morocco Resumes Special Flights Amid Strict COVID-19 Measures, Minister Reports

The Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport and Social Economy, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, assured on Wednesday that the first special flights scheduled as part of the exceptional operation related to the state of health emergency in Morocco are taking place in "very satisfactory" conditions.
"Today, we are resuming the second stage of the exceptional flights to Morocco. The first flights went very well," the minister told the MAP, who visited Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca to ensure compliance with Covid-19 prevention and prevention measures.
"We will monitor daily to ensure that the application of these measures is strict and firm to guarantee the safety and health of passengers and employees, which are a priority for the partners of the various airports in the Kingdom," she pledged.
For his part, the Director General of the National Airports Office (ONDA), Zouheir Mohamed El Oufir, says he is satisfied with the progress of the exceptional flights operated by Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and Air Arabia Maroc. "We have put in place a plan to be able to guarantee, in the best conditions, the health safety of passengers and airport users. This plan is implemented with all the airport partners (General Directorate of National Security, Royal Gendarmerie, Customs, Local Authorities, etc.)," he said.
These special flights to Morocco are for all Moroccan citizens (tourists stranded abroad, students or residents abroad) and their families, for citizens of other nationalities residing in Morocco and their families.
