Morocco U-23 Soccer Team Suffers 4-0 Defeat to Senegal in Friendly Match
The Moroccan under-23 team was defeated on Thursday evening against their Senegalese counterparts in a friendly match. The score is clear: 4-0 for the Senegalese.
It was a faded team that was discovered yesterday at the Stade Moulay Abdellah in Rabat. And the final score shows it: 4-0 for the visitors, scored by Ibrahima Mandefu (44th), Mamadou Camara, author of a brace (48th, 66th) and Maleye Diagne (58th).
Yet, well before the double encounter between the two teams, the coach of the Lionceaux was very optimistic. He must be disappointed. We will have to wait until Sunday, in the same stadium, to see if the Moroccan players will have a surge of pride.
For the record, the two teams are both exempt from the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
