Morocco Slips to 131st in Global Corruption Ranking, Risk Assessment Shows

Morocco has been reclassified 131st out of 200 countries in terms of corruption in public and private institutions. Trace Bribery Risk Matrix has reclassified the Kingdom after finding that "some data had been inadvertently omitted".
Trace Bribery Risk Matrix is an international organization of economic operators against corruption and a provider of risk management solutions for businesses.
Thus, in its international index ranging from a score of 1 to 100 points, which reflects the high risk of corruption in the business sector, [Morocco] scored 58 points instead of 65, placing it among the countries at moderate risk, according to Hespress.
Even revised, the ranking shows a decline for Morocco, which in 2018 was in 121st place. At the top of this "Trace" ranking are New Zealand, followed by Norway, then Denmark and Sweden. Then come Finland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada, Germany and finally Hong Kong.
