Morocco Sets Eid al-Adha Date for July 31 Amid COVID-19 Concerns

Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on July 31, 2020 in Morocco, according to the astronomical calculations of Brahim Jerouane, a member of the Arab Union of Space and Astronomy Sciences.
This date will correspond to the 10th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah 1441, the twelfth month of the Muslim calendar during which the major pilgrimage is organized.
This year, the Feast of Sacrifice will be very special, if it is organized. Several voices have been raised, including members of political parties, to ask the King of Morocco to cancel it.
On the side of the breeders, it’s a different story. They are asking for its maintenance, despite the health crisis, on pain of seeing the majority of them in debt and closing down.
