Morocco Sets Up Crisis Cell for Citizens Stranded in Dubai Amid Travel Restrictions

In application of the instructions given by the ministry in charge of Foreign Affairs, the Moroccan Consulate General in Dubai has set up a crisis cell with three telephone numbers dedicated entirely to citizens.

There are more than 600 registered with the consular services, some of whom have expressed the wish to be taken care of due to the insufficiency of their financial resources. Despite the decision to close hotels, the steps taken by the Consulate General have made it possible to ensure the accommodation and catering of a large number of these nationals eager to return home.

The Consulate General has also agreed to assist those who needed medical support, by "facilitating their access to clinics to undergo medical examinations and obtain the necessary care and medication". All these steps were made possible thanks to the associative actors that the Consulate has also thanked for "their support, their cooperation and the spirit of cohesion, solidarity and attachment to their country that they have always shown, particularly in this difficult period".

The Consulate urges Moroccans stranded in Dubai "to comply with the instructions issued by the health authorities of the United Arab Emirates to protect themselves from the epidemic".
