Morocco Set to Extend COVID-19 State of Emergency Until August 10

One more month for the Moroccans. The government would intend to extend the state of emergency at least until August 10 next and this decision could be taken this afternoon.
The government council, which is to meet this Thursday, July 9, could decide to maintain the state of health emergency until August 10 next, claims the site Le360.
A month ago, the Moroccan authorities had decided to extend the state of health emergency throughout the national territory for an additional month until July 10. The draft decree, submitted by the Minister of the Interior at the time, had been adopted at the Government Council on Tuesday, June 9.
Moroccans will have to wait a little longer before hoping for the long-awaited total deconfinement. Only the regions and localities deconfined, a few days earlier, will still be able to enjoy this freedom.
After more than three months of border closure, Morocco authorized, yesterday, its citizens and foreign residents in the Kingdom, as well as their families, to return to the national territory, starting from July 14, 2020 at midnight.
