Morocco sells Antwerp consulate building Belgium
Morocco has just initiated administrative procedures related to the sale of the former headquarters of its general consulate in Antwerp. However, the official text reveals neither the value of the building nor the identity of a potential buyer.
The fate of the former headquarters of Morocco’s general consulate in Antwerp (Hoboken) is beginning to become clearer. A decree from the Minister of Economy and Finance now authorizes consular officials to undertake the various expenses necessary for its sale.

Signed on July 3, 2026 and published on July 23 in the Official Bulletin, the text designates Morocco’s general consul in Antwerp as deputy ordinator. The vice-general consul may replace him in the context of this operation.
Expenses will be charged to the special Treasury account dedicated to "replacement of State property". They explicitly concern the "various expenses related to the sale of the former headquarters of the general consulate of the Kingdom of Morocco in Antwerp".
The decision appears in Official Bulletin No. 7528 of July 23, 2026.

This authorization does not mean that the building has already been sold. It establishes the financial mechanism to cover the costs associated with its sale.
