Morocco Sees Surge in Critical COVID-19 Cases as Total Infections Near 30,000

Morocco is dangerously approaching the 30,000 mark for contamination cases. In recent days, dozens of serious and critical cases have been recorded.
On Monday, August 3 at 6 p.m., the number of positive cases stood at 26,196. The head of the Communicable Diseases Division at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdelkrim Meziane Belfkih, said at a press briefing that the counter is going wild with critical and serious cases of contamination.
Out of the 6,827 active cases still under treatment in hospitals across the country, "79 cases are admitted to the resuscitation and intensive care units, including 11 intubated," he explained, specifying that in detail, these serious or critical cases are distributed in several regions.
These are 25 in Casablanca-Settat, including 7 intubated, 16 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, including 2 intubated, 20 in Marrakech-Safi, 10 in Fès-Meknès, 6 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, including 2 intubated, and 2 in Souss-Massa.
