Morocco’s Security Chief Orders Probe into Alleged Police Assault in Casablanca

A man accused on social media police officers working at the Casablanca police service of physically assaulting him. This serious statement prompted the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, to give instructions for the truth to be shed on this matter.
The investigation, according to the DGSN, will make it possible to reveal the whole truth about these accusations made against police officers in the performance of their duties. It will also determine the responsibilities and establish the consequences and administrative sanctions.
The National Judicial Police Division that has opened this investigation will have to hear the plaintiff and the police officers involved, before proceeding with field investigations and technical expertise to uncover the whole truth about these accusations.
For now, the plaintiff claims to have been assaulted in the context of the enforcement of the state of health emergency measures in the security zone of Ain Sebaa, Mohammedi district in Casablanca.
