Morocco Secures €30 Million Loan to Expand Rural Drinking Water Access

The German Development Bank (KFW) and the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) signed a loan agreement on Wednesday. Amounting to 30 million euros, it supports the rural drinking water supply program.
This loan agreement was signed by the CEO of ONEE, Abderrahim El Hafidi, and the director of the KfW office in Morocco, Markus Faschina.
It will provide drinking water to the provinces of Tangier and Chefchaouen and surrounding regions in northwestern Morocco, reports the MAP, which stresses that this financial support will help about 150 douars with a beneficiary population of nearly 112,000 inhabitants.
