Morocco Secures Access to AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 Vaccine in New Agreement

Morocco can now have access to the Covid-19 vaccines produced by the company "R-Pharm", under license from the "AstraZeneca" group. The Minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb, proceeded on Friday in Rabat to sign the memorandum of understanding for the acquisition.
The headquarters of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Administrative Reform hosted the signing ceremony of this memorandum of understanding, which took place by videoconference. The government is thus marking its commitment to securing the country’s supply of sufficient quantities of vaccines.
Present at this ceremony were the Ministers of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit; of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Nasser Bourita; of Economy, Finance and Administrative Reform, Mohamed Benchaâboun; of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb; the Delegate Minister to the Minister of the Interior, Noureddine Boutayeb, the CEO of "R-Pharm", Vasily Ignatiev, and the Vice-President of "AstraZeneca", Alec Van Gelder.
