Morocco School Controversy: Parents Rally Behind Teacher Accused of Promoting LGBTQ Topics

Contrary to expectations, the French teacher at the Honoré de Balzac school in Kénitra, who was fired following a complaint from parents who accused her of presenting information on homosexuality and "abnormal tendencies and the dissemination of insulting ideas about the personalities and symbols of Islam" in class, receives the support of other parents.
17 parents of students in the CM1 class of the French school Honoré de Balzac in Kénitra that the French teacher was teaching have, in writing, condemned the suspension of the latter. This suspension was decided by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) and the school following a complaint filed by two families before the courts for "apology for homosexuality" and "attack on the symbol of Islam".
According to these parents of students, the teacher does not deserve this fate, because she "has always loved Morocco and expressed her respect for our Moroccan values and our religion", reports RFI. They say they are ready to testify. "When you love someone, you can defend them to the end," says one of them.
