Morocco Revives $10 Billion Tanger Tech City Project with Chinese Partnership

A memorandum of understanding for the realization and development of the Mohammed VI Tanger Tech City was signed last Friday at the headquarters of the "China Communication Construction Company Limited International".
This Memorandum of Understanding was signed during the "Belt and Road" forum attended by the member countries of the Silk Road and chaired by President Xi Jinping. La Vie Eco indicates that "the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was affixed by Othman Benjelloun, President of SATT (Société d’Aménagement Tanger Tech), Liang QINGSHAN Vice-President of CCCC, and Sun Yao Guo Vice-President of CRBC (China Road and Bridge Corporation)".
This ceremony was attended by several Moroccan officials, including "Mohcine Jazouli, Minister Delegate in charge of African Cooperation, Aziz Mekouar, Moroccan Ambassador to China, Ilyas El Omary, President of the Tanger-Tetouan-AlHoceima Region, Fouad Brini, President of TMSA, Mohamed Agoumi, General Manager of BMCE Bank of Africa and Said ADREN, General Manager of BMCE Bank International Shanghai".
In short, this agreement, which aims to implement the means to realize project phases in line with the strategic vision of the two countries, "seals the common will of the three groups to realize and develop the ’Mohammed VI Tanger Tech City’", concludes La Vie Eco.
