Morocco Returns to Daylight Saving Time: Clocks Spring Forward Tonight

Tonight, from Saturday, May 30 to Sunday, May 31, Morocco is switching to summer time again.
This change comes a week after the end of Ramadan. Thus, from 2 a.m., you will have to advance your watch (or your smartphone!) by one hour. It will therefore be 3 a.m. and you will have one hour less of sleep, but the day will be longer.
On April 19, Moroccans had delayed their clock by 60 minutes on the occasion of the month of Ramadan and in accordance with Article 2 of Decree No. 2.18.855 published on 16 Safar 1440 (October 26, 2018), relating to legal time and the order of the Head of Government No. 3.25.20 published on 15 Sha’ban 1441 (April 9, 2020), also relating to legal time, specifies the ministry in a press release.
The switch to summer time in Morocco is intended to strengthen, it is sworn, energy savings and reduce the time difference between Morocco and its economic partners around the world. According to studies, the savings are in the order of the consumption of a city like Meknes. We can only believe it.
With the change tonight, Morocco will be one hour behind its European partners.
