The inhabitants of Tangier are forced to stay on site for the celebration of Eid Al-Adha. The decision comes from a meeting chaired by the wali, on Wednesday, with professional associations, local authorities, social organizations, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services and Amendis.
In a press release, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises stated that companies must not issue professional travel authorizations. "Company managers will be held responsible in the event of issuing any authorization."
According to the same source, several apparently healthy people were able to leave the city with employers’ authorizations, before the wali’s decision was made.
