Morocco Requires Printed Boarding Passes for British Tourists

British tourists wishing to travel to Morocco during the Christmas and New Year holidays will have to present a printed boarding pass, or risk being fined.
"Airlines have just issued a warning about boarding passes for holidaymakers heading to this popular destination," travel expert Sabrina Escapes informed in a TikTok video. "If you have a trip booked, make sure to check the rules around boarding passes," she advised.
The expert added that "Ryanair and easyJet have already shared warnings to British holidaymakers about their stays in Morocco. This is due to local rules in Morocco, where you cannot use a mobile boarding pass." British travelers who did not present a physical boarding pass at Moroccan airports have been fined up to 50 euros (42 British pounds), according to reports on TripAdvisor.
Airlines serving the kingdom will require tourists to present their printed boarding pass during check-in, with or without luggage. The control of these cards could lead to long queues at check-in, warn experts who recommend arriving earlier at the airport to complete these formalities on time.
"We accept mobile boarding passes on flights from the majority of airports in our network. However, unfortunately, some airports are still unable to accept mobile boarding passes. Customers traveling from these airports must check in online and print a paper boarding pass for their flight(s)," Ryanair states on its website.
