In Morocco, the epidemiological situation related to Covid-19 has improved significantly, with the transmission rate remaining at a low level, after 7 consecutive weeks of monitoring. This leads the Ministry of Health to say that the situation is "under control".
For the coordinator of the National Center for Public Health Emergency Operations, Mouad Mrabet "the spread of the new coronavirus remains low in all regions of the Kingdom, where a significant decrease in infections has been recorded for the seventh consecutive week."
While noting a reproduction index of less than 1 for 52 days, the ministry reports a significant decrease in the number of serious cases. Deaths have also continued to decline significantly.
As for the national vaccination campaign, the rate of people who have taken the first dose has reached 67.5%, compared to 63.4% for those who have received the second dose, while 16.3% have received the booster dose.
