Morocco Reports Record 47% Pass Rate for Inmates Taking Baccalaureate Exam

There are 366 inmates from the various penitentiary establishments, spread throughout the Moroccan territory, who have obtained the precious diploma that gives access to university. As a result, the results of the two Baccalaureate 2019 sessions recorded a success rate of 47% among prisoners.
This is a record 47% success rate in the Baccalaureate in 2019, an increase of 10% compared to the previous year. These are the results of the normal and make-up sessions, according to the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR).
According to the DGAPR press release, this rate is higher than that of free candidates, which reached 41.1% nationally. For more details, the same source specifies that the number of candidates who succeeded in the make-up session is 185 out of a total of 361, i.e. a success rate of 51.24%.
It should also be noted that 63 inmates obtained the "Very Good", "Good" and "Fairly Good" mentions, i.e. 17.21% of the total number of successful candidates, details the same press release.
