Morocco Reports Record 122 New Coronavirus Cases, Death Toll Rises to 58

According to the figures published this evening by the Ministry of Health, 883 Moroccans have now tested positive, after the identification of 122 new cases.
The toll of people affected by coronavirus in Morocco continues to rise. The kingdom is about to cross the 1,000 case mark. According to the director of the epidemic, Mohammed El Youbi, this balance of infected cases in a single day is unprecedented in Morocco.
In addition, the Ministry of Health recorded 11 deaths and 9 cured people in 24 hours. This brings the official toll respectively to 58 deaths and 65 cases of recovery since the start of the epidemic in Morocco.
Regarding the distribution of infected people, the Casablanca-Settat region remains the most affected with 247 cases, followed by Rabat Salé Kenitra (169), Marrakech-Safi (140), Fès-Meknès (128), Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima (62), the Oriental (51), Daraa-Tafilalet (36), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (26), Souss-Massa (19), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (4), and Guelmim Oued Noun (1).
More than a month after the recording of the first case of covid-19 in Morocco, the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region is now the only one spared.
