Covid-19 infections are also affecting children. In Morocco, more than 500 children under the age of 14 have been confirmed positive since the first case was recorded.
The toll is relatively heavy among children. Out of the 6,063 confirmed cases in the kingdom, 540 are children, or a rate of 9%. According to statistics, more than 93% of these cases had mild symptoms or no symptoms at all, while the cases that were in critical condition did not exceed 1.3%.

At 17 months old, this baby who died was already suffering from several illnesses, including growth disorders and kidney stone problems.
The national balance sheet to date shows 93 new cases of recovery for 2,554 people cured, according to the Minister of Health. In addition, two new deaths were recorded during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 188, for a fatality rate of 3.1%.
