Morocco Reports Majority of COVID-19 Cases Asymptomatic, Health Ministry Says

Widespread testing in Morocco has uncovered many cases that would have gone unnoticed. According to the Ministry of Health, the majority of detected cases are asymptomatic, as they do not show any signs of the disease.
In a statement made to the Finances News website, Mohamed El Youbi, Director of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Health, states that "the diagnosed and treated cases did not show any signs of the disease." According to the explanations he provided, they have "clearly increased to reach 2/3 of the people, whereas at the beginning, there were none."
This is a statement that shows how much the fact of having focused on the "preventive aspect" in the fight against the coronavirus has allowed Morocco "to record one of the lowest mortality rates in the world" and to have a "limited number of serious cases admitted to intensive care," he said in the columns of the newspaper.
