Morocco Reports First Omicron Case as Woman in Casablanca Tests Positive

Morocco has recorded its first case of infection with the new coronavirus variant Omicron, in a woman from Casablanca.
This is what the Ministry of Health indicated, specifying that the patient is currently being taken care of in a hospital structure in Casablanca, "in a stable condition that does not cause any concern".
The ministry also stressed that it is applying the protocol set up for this type of case, adding that the identification of contact cases is underway.
Consequently, the department has called on Moroccans to strictly respect the barrier gestures: proper wearing of the mask, frequent hand washing, physical distancing, etc.
Moroccans, it said, must also go to vaccination centers to receive their third dose.
