Morocco Reports 78 New COVID-19 Cases as Infections Continue to Fluctuate

The number of COVID-19 infections has increased since this morning in Morocco, according to the Ministry of Health. Since last night, 78 new cases have been reported.
It will therefore not be today that Morocco will see a real decline in the number of infections. Since Monday, the situation in the kingdom has been fluctuating, with 82 cases on May 18, 71 cases on Tuesday, May 19, and 110 on Wednesday. However, it should be noted that these figures are well below those of last week, when Morocco had reached 218 confirmed cases for the single day of May 11.
According to the health authorities, Casablanca remains by far the region most affected in Morocco with 2,224, or 34 more since last night. It is followed by Marrakech, which has recorded 10 cases since yesterday, bringing it to 1,306.
The Ministry of Health once again calls on Moroccans to strictly observe the recommendations issued by the authorities.
