Morocco Reports 28 New Coronavirus Cases, Total Rises to 143

The number of people tested positive in Morocco has now reached 143 after the identification of 28 new cases on Monday.
According to Mohammed El Youbi, Director of Epidemiology and Disease Control at the Ministry of Health, the number of deaths due to the virus now stands at four, including two in the Casablanca-Settat region, one in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and one in Béni Mellal-Khénitra. He also adds that five infected people have now recovered.
As for the regional distribution, Fès-Meknès is at the top of the regions affected by the virus with 35 cases, followed by Casablanca-Settat (34) and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (32).
Then come the Marrakech-Safi region with 15 cases, Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (9), the Oriental (7), Souss-Massa (6), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (03). In the Draa Tafilalet region and the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, only one case has been recorded.
