Morocco Reports No Cases of Novel Coronavirus as Health Ministry Reassures Public

In response to the requests and concerns of the population about the appearance of the epidemic related to the coronavirus in China, the Ministry of Health is reassuring.
The authority’s aim is to reassure the population that no case of the coronavirus disease has been recorded in Morocco.
To this end, the ministry has issued a press release, recalling that "on the recommendation of its International Health Regulations Emergency Committee, the World Health Organization has not declared this epidemiological situation as a public health emergency of international concern and does not currently recommend any travel or trade restrictions at the international level".
Already, the Minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb, has decided to take urgent measures to protect the kingdom from this evil. These include strengthening the national system of epidemiological surveillance and monitoring, developing the virological diagnostic system, and deploying the necessary control measures.
It should be recalled that the Chinese coronavirus has already caused 17 deaths and infected more than 500 people, according to the latest report released on Wednesday, January 22.
