Morocco Reports 270 New COVID-19 Cases as Vaccination Efforts Surpass 7 Million Fully Inoculated

A total of 270 new Covid-19 infection cases and 168 recoveries were recorded in Morocco over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health said in its daily bulletin.
The number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine reached 9,363,220, while the number of people fully vaccinated (1st and 2nd doses) has exceeded the 7 million mark (7,094,691 exactly), the ministry said.
The new cases of infection bring the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in March 2020 to 523,890. The number of recovered people has risen to 511,126, a recovery rate of 97.6%, it was further stated.

As for the total number of deaths, it has risen to 9,211 with 4 new deaths recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (2), Fès-Meknès and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (1).
