Morocco Reports 259 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Infections Rise to 2,283

The toll of the coronavirus epidemic in Morocco has risen to 2,283 infected people, with 259 new positive cases tested on Thursday, April 16, according to the Ministry of Health.
In Morocco, the number of deaths is now 130 after 3 new deaths were recorded, compared to 249 deaths with 20 new people cured.
According to the director of epidemiology, Mohammed El Youbi, the toll has worsened due to the appearance of coronavirus outbreaks. 85 cases were recorded in an industrial cluster in the city of Casablanca, 66 cases in a cluster in the city of Marrakech, 21 in a cluster in the city of Tangier, and then 68 in a cluster in the city of Fez.
With these new figures, the Casablanca region remains the most affected in Morocco (681 cases), followed by Marrakech (487), and finally Rabat (258).
