Morocco Reports 168 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Infections Rise to 4,065

168 new cases were reported this Sunday at 4 pm. This brings the number of confirmed infections to 4,065 in Morocco.
According to the Ministry of Health, 161 cumulative deaths are also recorded, with two new deaths in 24 hours. To date, the mortality rate has fallen to 4% and the number of recoveries continues to rise. They now stand at 593, with 56 new remissions.
Furthermore, the medical follow-up of contact cases has made it possible to detect 134 cases among the 168 new cases of infection, i.e. 80%. For the ministry, medical follow-up remains the effective means of diagnosing the largest number of cases of contamination.
With these new figures, the Casablanca-Settat region still has the largest number of confirmed cases (26%), followed by Marrakech-Safi (21%). Then come Fès-Meknès, Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima and Drâa-Tafilalet with 13% of cases each.
