Morocco Reports 164 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Infections Rise to 14,771

The covid-19 pandemic continues in Morocco. Over the past 24 hours, 164 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the Kingdom, bringing the total to 14,771 since last March, according to the Ministry of Health.
In detail, here are the infections by region for this Wednesday, July 8, 2020:
• Casablanca Settat: +50
• Tangier Tetouan Al Hoceima: +43
• Marrakech Safi: +15
• Rabat Salé Kenitra: +7
• Fez Meknes: +21
• Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra: +12
• Oriental: +15
• Beni Mellal-Khénifra: +2
• Guelmim Oued Noun: +6
Here are the other figures to remember:
• 2 deaths since last night. Total still at 242. Fatality rate at 1.64%.
• 17,631 tests. Total at 804,353.
• 3,213 people currently under treatment.
• 677 new recoveries. Total at 11,316.
These poor figures are announced as Morocco is due to end the state of emergency this weekend and allow the full deconfinement of the population.
