Morocco Reports 130 New Coronavirus Cases, Total Rises to 1,120 with 80 Deaths

The number of people tested positive in Morocco has now reached 1,120 after the identification of 130 new cases, according to the update from the Ministry of Health on Monday at 6 p.m.
According to Mohammed El Youbi, director of epidemiology and disease control at the Ministry of Health, the number of deaths due to the virus stands at 80. He also adds that 81 infected people have been declared cured.
Regarding the regional distribution, Casablanca-Settat is at the top of the regions affected by the virus with 339 cases, followed by Marrakech–Safi (212), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (187), Fès-Meknès (142).
Then come the regions of Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (79), the Oriental (59), Draa Tafilalet (43), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (28), Souss-Massa (19), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (4). In the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, only one case was recorded. As for the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, it is the only one spared today.
The Ministry of Health also called for the closure of dental offices.
