Morocco Reports 121 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Reaches 7,332 Ahead of Eid

121 new coronavirus infections were recorded this Friday, May 22 in Morocco, bringing the total to 7,332 cases since the start of the epidemic.
The majority of these cases are concentrated in the Casablanca-Settat region, with 88 infections (2,330), followed by Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (+16), Fès-Meknès (+6), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (+6), Marrakech-Safi (+3), Souss Massa (+2).
As for the cured cases, they stood at 4,377 after 97 new recoveries. The recovery rate to date is close to 60% (59.7%). As for the death toll, it stands at 197 after the recording of a single death for a 2.69% fatality rate.
A few hours before the celebration of Eid Al Fitr, the government is working to avoid new outbreaks of contamination that could weigh down the announced deconfinement.
