Morocco Reports 121 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Infections Rise to 2,685

Morocco has recorded 121 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the national toll to 2,685 confirmed infections, according to the Ministry of Health.
For the Director of Epidemiology and Disease Control, Mohamed El Youbi, this is the fourth significant increase of the week, although it is much lower than the previous two days. It is explained by the increase in testing capacities in the kingdom. Six university hospital centers (CHU) have now been carrying out covid-19 screening tests since Monday, April 13.
To date, 137 deaths have been recorded against 314 people cured.
Regarding the map of the distribution of the 2,685 infected people, the Casablanca region is the most affected in Morocco with 760 cases, followed by Marrakech (663), Fès-Meknès (386) and Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima (283).
In addition, the number of cases excluded after negative analysis results carried out in the laboratory stands at 7,365.
