Morocco Repatriates Over 300 Citizens from Turkey Amid Ongoing Evacuation Efforts

The repatriation operations of Moroccans stranded abroad continue. On Saturday, 302 Moroccans of all ages, including babies, from Istanbul, landed at Tetouan Saniat R’mel airport on board two Royal Air Maroc planes.
These 302 people constitute the fourth group of Moroccans repatriated from Turkey. In total, more than 1,000 Moroccans stranded in Spain and Turkey have already been repatriated, said the airport director, Hassan Limouni, who added that these repatriation operations have been carried out in compliance with the health rules in force, in particular the provision of protective masks for travelers and the installation of thermal cameras for temperature taking.
Arrangements have also been made to ensure that the repatriated Moroccans respect social distancing during customs and administrative formalities, Limouni also specified.
As a safety measure, and following the applicable health protocol, these people will undergo coronavirus screening tests and be placed in nine-day quarantine in hotel establishments.
