Morocco Repatriates First Group of Citizens Stranded in Algeria Amid COVID-19

After the repatriation of Moroccans stranded in Ceuta and Melilla last week, it is now the turn of those stranded in Algeria. The first Royal Air Maroc flight landed this Saturday at Oujda-Angad airport, with the first group of 100 repatriated Moroccans on board.
Three RAM 737-8B6 aircraft were chartered to repatriate 300 Moroccans stranded in Algeria for more than two months. The first plane, which took off from Houari Boumediene airport with 100 passengers on board, landed in Oujda.
According to a passenger on this flight, the barrier gestures, particularly social distancing, were respected. According to him, the middle seats in each row remained empty. The cabin crew and passengers also wore protective masks, he specifies.
On arrival, the first travelers were placed in quarantine (9 days) at the seaside resort of Saidia, before joining their respective homes, as required by the current health protocols. They will be released once the exit tests prove negative.
