Morocco Repatriates Citizens from China Amid Coronavirus Outbreak, Tests Health Measures

Many Moroccans stranded in China due to the coronavirus are returning to the country this Tuesday, January 28, 2020, via a Royal Air Maroc (RAM) flight. This will be an opportunity for the authorities to test the health measures taken to control entries into the kingdom, on the one hand, and to respond to the "coronavirus", on the other.
Since the appearance of the coronavirus, which is hitting the country of Xi Jinping hard (more than 106 according to official figures), this is the first RAM flight from China that has been operated on Tuesday. The plane landed at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca at 8 p.m. (local time), reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
According to the newspaper, the health measures taken will make it possible to detect whether there is a possible suspected case of coronavirus or not. If a suspected case is detected, the competent authorities would take the necessary health measures to limit its spread.
While in Europe, tour operators have suspended all trips from China due to the danger posed by the coronavirus, Morocco has not yet made it an option. The kingdom is counting on the Chinese to boost its tourism. This option could be considered in the event of the detection of a suspected case.
