Morocco Repatriates 300 Citizens Stranded in Algeria Amid COVID-19 Crisis

Blocked for more than 2 months in Algeria, due to the coronavirus, 300 Moroccans have returned to their country, this Saturday, May 30, 2020. Three Royal Air Maroc planes carried out this repatriation at a rate of 100 compatriots each at Oujda airport.
After the usual formalities, the passengers were directed to tourist complexes in the seaside resort of Saïdia.
At Oujda-Angads airport, some passengers expressed their joy at returning to Morocco. The 9-day confinement awaiting them has apparently not affected this happiness while awaiting reunions with their respective families.
Other flights are also very likely planned during the week for the compatriots still stranded in Algeria. But this time they will be directed to other provinces. Oujda was only a pioneer for this repatriation operation.
To recall, the Royal Air Maroc planes had taken off on Saturday between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. to reach Algiers, in order to repatriate the compatriots stranded in Algeria, to Oujda. Once their mission was completed, the three planes immediately returned to their base in Casablanca Nouasseur before new missions abroad.
