Morocco to Repatriate Women and Children Detained in Syria and Iraq After ISIS Involvement

Morocco has authorized the repatriation of Moroccan women from Daesh and their children. They are all detained in conflict zones in Syria and Iraq.
The voice of associations advocating for the repatriation of Moroccan women and their children who lived within Daesh and other terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq in inhumane conditions has finally been heard. Azzeddine El Bakkali, president of the National Coordination of Moroccans Blocked and Detained in Iraq in Syria, said that the Moroccan authorities have authorized these women to return to the country. They have been asked to go to the administration, with a view to initiating the preparations for their return to Morocco after the finalization of the administrative procedures.
In a statement to Al Massae, Azzedine El Bakkali indicated that "several parties have contributed to the outcome of this humanitarian case, with a view to repatriating these Moroccan women and their children, detained in the refugee camps in Syria, in particular the parliamentary mission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among others".
According to the National Observatory of Human Rights (ONDH), there are 81 women and 251 children in the camps in northern Syria, 64 women and 221 children in the Al-Houl camp, and finally 17 Moroccan women and 30 children in the Al-Roj camp.
