Morocco to Repatriate and Quarantine Over 100 Students from China Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

In order to protect Moroccan students in China from the Coronavirus epidemic, the Moroccan authorities have taken the necessary measures for their repatriation. According to the information available to the Arabic-language site Hespress.com, the return of these Moroccan students, estimated at more than 100, will begin this Thursday. They will be isolated, as a precautionary measure, in Meknes and Rabat, for about twenty days.
On site, the Royal Armed Forces have mobilized their health services in Meknes and Rabat to deal with any emergency situation. On the instructions of the King, it is the Head of Government himself who is supervising the development of the quarantine sites, which are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment in terms of epidemiological monitoring and control, virological diagnosis and treatment of potential patients.
These precautionary measures are necessary, even if no cases of infection have been recorded among the Moroccans in Wuhan. The quarantine for a period corresponds to the incubation of the virus before the appearance of the symptoms of the disease.
Mohammed VI takes this epidemic, which has been the focus of attention around the world for a few days, very seriously. That is why he has given his instructions to the Head of Government and the various officials, to ensure the necessary follow-up and coordination for this operation.
