Morocco Reopens Film Industry with Strict Health Protocols in Place

Filming of films and series has resumed in Morocco. However, production companies must have an authorization and also strictly comply with health and safety conditions.

Guaranteeing local and foreign producers an adequate working environment. This is the objective of the Moroccan Cinematographic Center. With a view to the resumption, the CCM announced on Tuesday the necessary measures. Similarly, the results of an in-depth study conducted by the CCM show a series of protocols and international guidelines to regulate the work of productions authorized to shoot in the Kingdom. The entire set of common health rules is adapted to the context of film and audiovisual production, including the scouting, preparation, filming and finishing phases.

Other rules are added to the guide, such as proactive rules for the constitution of the various production departments, the distribution and movement of technical and artistic teams. The CCM therefore urges production companies to establish a rational organization for the implementation of health security recommendations for filming. To this end, the guide is available on the CCM website in Arabic, French and English.

The CCM is committed to remaining attentive to compliance with the conditions for the conduct of filming, to ensure the health safety of the technical and artistic teams and is deploying all necessary efforts for a better resumption, it is said.
