Morocco to Reopen Nightclubs and Casinos After Ramadan, Ending Two-Year Closure

After more than two years of closure, nightclubs, casinos and other nightlife venues will be able to reopen after Ramadan, the dates of which are set for April 3 to May 2 according to Moroccan astronomy expert Hicham El Aissaoui. The epidemiological situation is improving in Morocco.
The government will give the green light for the reopening, after the month of Ramadan, of nightclubs, discotheques, nightclubs, casinos and other nightlife venues, reports the Arabic-language newspaper Assabah. A reopening under conditions: presentation of a vaccination pass, strict compliance with health prevention measures, wearing a mask and physical distancing. Sanctions are planned in case of violation of this regulation.
The reopening of these venues will bring relief to the players in the sector hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic. The latter has brought down employees, employers, tenants, technicians and musicians. Many employees found themselves without a job or compensation. As for the employers, they did not have access to credits and subsidies that could help them cope with the effects of the health crisis on their sector.
