Morocco to Relocate Graves for Major Dam Project in Khémisset Region

The Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water has decided to build a dam in Tiddas, in the Khémisset region. Some graves will be moved while others will be covered.
A 1.7 million dirham contract has been signed with a public works company, reports Maghreb Intelligent. This company has already set up in Tiflet, another city in the region.
Only graves less than 40 years old will be moved. "Our religion allows it and we have theological opinions to that effect," comments an official from the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water.
According to estimates, the dam can hold up to 500 million m³. Enough to provide the necessary drinking water for the entire region. The completion rate of the work exceeds 70%. The site should be delivered this year. To date, six major dams have been built in the Bouregreg-Chaouia water basin.
