Moroccans repatriated from Wuhan, China, are now free, after spending about twenty days in quarantine at the Sidi Said Hospital in Meknes and the Mohamed V Military Instruction Hospital in Rabat.
In a statement released on Saturday, February 22, 2020, the Ministry of Health reassured the Moroccan people that no cases related to the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) have been recorded among the repatriated citizens. The 167 people from the city of Wuhan received twice-daily medical observation throughout their stay, as well as laboratory tests, the results of which were negative for SARS-CoV-2.
At the end of this confinement period, these repatriates have returned to their homes. The supervisory ministry also thanked the repatriates and their families for their cooperation and commitment. All the civil and military health officials, managers and teams, as well as the administrative staff mobilized, were congratulated for the success of this operation.
