Morocco Relaxes COVID Curfew, Extends Nighttime Travel Hours

In Morocco, nighttime travel nationwide between 11:00 pm and 4:30 am is prohibited starting this Friday. This is the decision taken by the government. The curfew is thus pushed back from 8pm to 11pm.
The government has taken a series of measures for the management of this stage, also including the closure of businesses, restaurants and cafes at 11:00 pm, as well as the maintenance of all other precautionary measures in force under the state of health emergency, relating to festivals, gatherings, demonstrations, cinemas and funerals, etc., according to a statement from the executive.
The same source states that the measures taken by the government follow the recommendations of the Scientific and Technical Committee and take into account the conclusions of the daily and continuous monitoring of the epidemiological situation in the kingdom, especially the decrease in Covid-19 cases, following the preventive measures taken by the public authorities, and as part of actions likely to ensure the continuation of the revival of the national economy.
The government also calls on all citizens to continue to demonstrate responsible commitment and strong adherence to the efforts made and to ensure compliance with preventive measures to preserve the achievements and contribute to a gradual return to normal life. All of which will allow the successful implementation of these measures.
