Morocco Refutes Claims of Ambassador Recall from Saudi Arabia

The reaction of the Moroccan authorities was expected after the dissemination of information (including bladi.net) reporting the discreet recall of the Moroccan ambassador to Riyadh.
The formal denial is signed by Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, who, in a statement to the Russian agency Sputnik, indicates that it is an unjustified and unfounded information. "Morocco has special channels intended to announce such decisions," said Bourita, who specifies that "throughout its history, Moroccan diplomacy has always expressed its positions through its own means and not through an American press agency, as this has been conveyed by a number of media."
Despite this formal denial, the Moroccan ambassador himself, Mustapha Mansouri, mentioned a recall for consultation with the site le360, while minimizing its importance on the grounds that "this kind of thing is common in diplomatic relations between states".
Saudi Arabia is not the only one concerned by this rumor, as there is also talk of the recall for consultations of the Moroccan ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. According to this time Al Jazeera, citing local sources, Mohamed Ait Ouali would currently be in Rabat "due to tensions in the relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and Saudi Arabia". Other sources dismiss these rumors and suggest that the ambassador would only be in Morocco to settle administrative matters requiring his presence.
