Morocco to Receive 2 Million Sinopharm COVID-19 Vaccine Doses on Saturday

Morocco is preparing to receive a new batch of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine, with the delivery expected this Saturday, July 17. A Royal Air Maroc (RAM) plane took off for Beijing on Friday.
In a statement to Le360, Dr. Saïd Afif, a member of the Scientific and Technical Committee, specified that Morocco will receive two million doses of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine from the Chinese laboratory Sinopharm on Saturday. A 767 from RAM took off on Friday to bring back this new batch of anti-Covid-19 vaccine. This new delivery will allow the kingdom to accelerate the expansion of vaccination to the 30-34 age group.
A new shipment of the British-Swedish AstraZeneca vaccine will be delivered to Morocco in the last week of this month of July. A delivery that is part of the Covax program.
As of July 16, 11,185,961 people have received the first dose, while 9,608,887 have been injected with the two doses. The Covid-19 report shows 552,635 cases of contamination, 529,853 recoveries and 9,427 deaths.
