Morocco Ranks Among Safest Travel Destinations for 2024, Global Risk Assessment Shows

Morocco is among the safest countries in the world for travelers in 2024. This is the result of the analyses of the experts of the interactive world map "Risk Map".
According to the global travel security map, African countries such as Morocco, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Senegal, Malawi and Ghana are considered low-risk countries for security. In Europe, the risk is considered "negligible" in countries such as Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Andorra and Slovenia, as well as in Greenland, the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean and some small island groups in Oceania such as the Cook Islands, the Marshall Islands and Tuvalu.
The security risk is also considered low in most of Europe. On the other hand, the risk is considered moderate in countries like Turkey. Ukraine presents an extreme risk due to the war. The security situation in Moldova remains unstable in certain regions due to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, according to the German Foreign Ministry.
According to the experts, the security risk is considered low in North America, in parts of South America and Central America: Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Suriname, French Guiana, Panama, Costa Rica, Cuba, the United States and Canada. Other countries with a low security risk: Australia and New Zealand, China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, South Korea, Laos, Oman, and Uzbekistan.
Published by the company "International SOS", the interactive world map "Risk Map" presents the safest, most dangerous countries and areas where the risks for travelers are particularly high in the world. Its data is focused on 2023 analyzes and forecasts for the coming year. Four criteria are defined to explore the global situation: security, medical risks, mental health and climate change.
The results are divided into five risk levels: negligible (green), low (yellow), moderate (orange), high (light red) and extreme (dark red), it is specified. Wars, political unrest, the risk of terrorist attacks, natural disasters and a high crime rate represent significant risks to the safety of travelers, reports TravelBook.
