Morocco Ranks 4th Among Africa’s Wealthiest Nations, Home to 5,000 Millionaires
Morocco is cited among the five richest countries on the continent. The kingdom has a very large number of millionaires and billionaires, according to the Henley & Partners firm.
In its report published this week, the British firm revealed that Morocco ranks 4th among the richest African countries, just after South Africa, Egypt and Nigeria.
These countries alone hold more than 50% of the continent’s private wealth. A fortune estimated at $2.1 trillion, which should increase by 38% over the next ten years, the document predicts.
According to the firm, Morocco currently has 5,000 very wealthy people with a private fortune of more than $1 million. Among them, 220 have a fortune of more than $10 million, 22 weigh more than $100 million and 3 have a fortune of more than $1 billion.
